“Shotgun Licensing Letter”
Here’s a letter I use to kickoff a conversation with a major corporation to get them to a licensing deal. If you watched Video #1 you know the power of this. Basically, I write an ebook based on something a major company is talking about, I get someone on “the inside” to write a testimonial for it, then I send this letter to the top brass (usually a VP of HR). The goal is to get them on the phone and agree to post and distribute the ebook, paying me everytime it’s downloaded. Basically, the ebook is free for their people to download but the company pays me every time someone downloads it. One of my favorite secret “expert strategies.” Here’s the reason this letter works:
1. I align with them immediately and show appreciation of what they’re doing
2. I point out a problem. (”There’s concern that not enough of your people know how to…”
3. I give a solution. (The “whitepaper” aka ebook)
4. I show a testimonial. (Any testimonial will do, but a testimonial from someone inside the company is priceless).
5. I offer to let their employees access it for free. (Though obviously I tell the company they have to “sponsor” or “license” it from me so that their employees can access it).
6. I ask for a call. (Nothing better than talking to people live these days. Add value on the call and they’ll love you).

“Speaking Onesheet for Campaign Cannon”
There’s a myth that onesheets are the end-all-be-all to getting booked as a speaker. You send these out and BAM you get booked for speeches. As you learned in Video #1, that’s just not true. My secret strategy is to send this out once a week to executives and event planners interested in my topic ALONG WITH an article I’ve written, and a cover letter with links to videos and so much more. (Watch Video #1 if you don’t know what I’m talking about). However, everyone asks for my onesheet so I thought I’d just give it to you free. Brendon, I’ve been studying the industry experts (Pagan, Kern, Robbins, et al) for some time now and struggled to make significant progress in my life …and today, with you, I’ve finally figured out why!
Eben taught me that we generally teach the way we learn, specifically in relation to the 4 learning styles: What, Why, How To, What If. Well, I’m not sure that’s the case with me. I’ve been masquerading as a Why & What learner for a while…
…but YOU are a phenomenal ‘HOW TO’ teacher, and Eben, by his own admission, is not very good with the ‘How To.’

I do have one question about the anti-member membership site:What software / services / sites do you use to automate it? Or do you do it manually?
In other words:
I can use Paypal or another service for monthly billing, but how do you add them to the list that sends out the links every month? And What if someone wants to quit the list? Do you just check every month and see which people are still subscribing and update the mailing list manually (which could be a lot of work with a lot of subscribers), or do you automate the whole process? My confidence is very high and the I have public speaking skills. The challenge is that my English speaking and writhing skills level is poor I can read and I can understand because the hundreds of books and cds that I heard in English in personal development
.but I have to speak more if I want to be professional and to deliver my things in English .I found a connection between personal development and stock trading and I use a lot of method from personal development in my presentation so I almost teaching personal development but its not its trading ..its not my dream but its very close .
The Challenge is that its in Hebrew and my client all of them in Israel

Wow Brendon! I have been trying to find content much like yours, but less AMAZING! I, like many people who are just starting out in Internet Marketing, do not have the resources to attend live seminars. Besides the cost of several thousand dollars, they are usually located across the country. When free quality information as powerful as yours becomes available, “Intelligent people JUMP on it! I imagine it someone would sound pretty “stupid” if they left a response to this posting where they called you “stupid” by leaving a comment complaining about “grammatical” errors that they don’t even know you made. But they also (while accusing you of “grammatical” errors) failed to capitalize OR indent the first letter of the first paragraph, “really?” on April first at 2:55 am! Well I certainly hope that never happens…lol! I wish you the best and thank you Sincerely Brendon (Whew! I almost wrote “Brandon” that would be a mortal sin… or typo!) enjoy your money, it will come from me!

hey, man i thought that idea about the non membership site was genius, it is EXACTLY what i’ve been looking for. now i just have a question about set up. i have the people, they listen to me, trust me and await my next video for info. so thats covered.
but how do i set up the subscription part? meaning say i sold my membership through paypal, on a subscription basis and the emails are sent through my auto-responder. but if people unsubscribe from my paypal subscription how do i set it up so that they are removed from my auto-responder automatically? if you can answer that i can start this TOMORROW.

Hey Lu — It’s easy to make it more complicated than it really is! First, if people unsubscribe you should get a note from your merchant provider that they canceled, so you can simply remove them from the autoresponder list then. Alternatively, you can create the program so each training is a separate module, so they don’t all tie together, and you just mail it out each month rather than having an autoresponder at all. This is very timely information for me. I have an educational blog The Invisible Mentor that I am trying to monetize. I created what I thought was a really great toolkit packed with solid information but only sold two.
I pulled out bits and pieces from the toolkit and posted it on my blog and I got a lot of retweets including comments about the content. This made the realize that the content was indeed solid, but the marketing was weak. In the toolkit were instructions on how to read to problem solve, how to read to master a subject, listening and reading plan process, how to summarize books read.
You have information that I can use right away. What other advice can you give me. I have already created the ebooks.

Could not have been more timely. Just spent last week at a health retreat that has excellent and timely information with strategies that work. The hosting “expert” has been hard at work for over 30 years and has tons of quality information and hours of professionally done DVD lectures. His supporting partners have about 10 hours of DVD lectures as well. His “money funnel” (Excellent visual representation BTW) is all there but he is missing the online marketing and distribution piece. I pointed this out last Saturday and he pretty much handed me the licensing. Then 3 days later I start getting e-mails from you telling me how to do it! God is good! Need to create a team however and would prefer to partner with someone who can turnkey. Where should I start looking? Want in?

I have been studying under Frank and another well know Speaking Marketing specialist which has been extremely helpful. What I appreciate about your material presented here is it is FRESH and it seems to follow a little bit of the Solution Selling model (in regards to your 8 steps approach) as apposed to the shot gun approach of sending out thousands of brochures six times and hope for a great response.
Your anti-membership idea is brilliant and to be honest I really have to retrain my brain to what I have be studying the past 6 months. I am going to go for it and trust that it will work. I get it but I am a bit “Gun Shy” so to speak.

Thanks RJ! Regarding the anti-membership site, and following Frank’s always brilliant advise on stuff like this, just give it a good ol’ test. Test it with a portion of your list and see how it does. Like anything ,though, always be sure to give it enough time to take hold. (I think most people test too fast and make decisions too quickly not to try things — it’s that old dig deep and master versus browse and dabble thing). Hey Joe,
The idea is to charge a monthly fee, ie $97 to $297 a month, and send them a “hidden link” to a page with a video, pdf, or some sore of valuable information, BUT don’t protect it.
The people will then send it to their friends saying, “Hey, I paid $97 for this and you can see it because he didn’t protect it.” Their friends go to the link and they love the info so they want to know more. They then put their name on your list and eventually (or not) they will get tired of waiting for their friend to send the “hidden” link each month or they will start feeling guilty for getting this “paid” information for free so they will start giving your money for the value you are providing.
Even if they don’t end up giving your money for that, they are at least on your list so you can promote to them later.
It’s brilliant!

I appreciated the background info but I thought the promotion went 5 or 10 minutes too long. I’m sure you probably have a tried and true formula but I, almost, closed the page. Great prensentation! Until now Peak Ptentials has been the only program that I have found really valuable to be part of. My financial themometer was so far below zero, that I am still working on bringing it up to a positive temperature where it will learn to stay. but with each new burst of energy, it comes futher up then it was ever at before and then levels off a little higher. I can’t say I am satisfied with this and I am still not content with my level of follow through, but i am greatly pleased with the training and Ideology that is moving me , be it ever so little. Actually if you knew my whole story you would know that it is not so little. You can have tremendous potential energy, but it is totally worthless until it is converted to kinectic energy. The results are important, but any movement is of value. For some of us the friction that we are working against, requires more energy to move forward then for others, so as long as we move at all it is a wonderful accomplishment. The further and faster we start to move the easier it becomes. Being inspired by speaker/trainers like yourself is like a polish that reduces the friction and makes the resulting movement further! Honestly I get so sick of “Gurus” that make it so obvious that they are only after your money and offer little or nothing in return. Thank you for giving me a video that is very similiar to Harv. T Eker’s way of influencing and changing people’s lifes.

Great video, very informative. With the “anti-membership” ticket, when you send out links each month is it to a hidden page on your site? In other words not a page anyone could find randomly searching. This would mean each month you’d add a new hidden page and just send to those signed up?

It’s great information and you clearly have found a way that works for people to embrace. I have been looking at how I can market myself as a spiritual expert and I guess my product is spiritual enlightenment and the wisdom of the ages. I see now through this video that what you suggest is completely aligned with the teachings I share.
The best thing of all is that I present a different perspective on enlightenment, the law of attraction and other commonly understood concepts and this I now see is my ‘positioning’.

Lot of good content there Brendon. One of the things that the you said as aside that has really made a difference for me was using Transcriptionists.
I started using them so much that I now have several that I use for me and my clients for creating content and I think on average I pay less than $18.00 per audio hour, which is dirt cheap for a really good transcriptionist. But you end up with PDFs, reports, even whole ebooks and great content for only a couple of bucks. And you are right, a lot of people learn in different ways so having audio, video and copy can really help.
