Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

    Hi Brendon,

Your videos are a breath of fresh air, your skill of drawing people into your videos made me feel like you were talking to me and me alone. I love everything you have spoken about, it scares the hell out of me because I listen understand and see that for me to move forward I need to come out of my comfort zone, which is daunting. I have a story that I can use and which links my few creative businesses. What I have recently found is that I have been helping others with their online presence via the knowledge I have learnt and my own twist without actually realising it. It took a stranger to tell me that what I was doing is inspirational and motivating. These words spoken to a woman who is shy and who is sometimes too hard on herself. Your detailed information has shown me that what I have been doing can be the way for me to earn from now on… and I thank you for sharing your wisdom and story.

I have a question: you say to focus on a topic and become a master, speak to experts etc.., My dilemma is that when I have been helping others I talk, show and help implement along these lines: traffic building, keyword strategies, website enhancement, customer focus all this for small online businesses. How do I focus and become an expert in this field. I am a little worried, for you say digging too many holes pushes you from mastery 1 thing. However what I find is when helping others with say one problem, that problem expands to other areas. How can I harness and grow as an expert without digging too many holes.

I hope you can help me see through this mist of decisions. Thank you for reading this, even if you do not have time to reply.

I am going to narrow it down and do a “pilot” video to test the water.I haven’t been this excited about a path in years. Brendon, I have really enjoyed watching your videos. I am at a turning point in my life and am ready to take the next steps in creating my expert business. Areas that I am knowledgable and great in: 1. financial situation (specifically about debt elimination and saving), 2. physical and mental fitness, 3. building satisfying and sustaining relationships and showing women how to create the inner beauty to be more attractive. These are the topics that I want to be an expert in and get paid doing so. I would like to create a business around these topics and a holistic approach for inspiring and excelling women to the next level. Question: is it best to first work on one topic and tackle it or how can I become an expert at all three? What’s the best approach here? Thank you so much!!!

I agree with the idea of showing what doesn’t work / industry myths / even some controversy. It’s a must-do – but for what I want to offer, it seems that could damage potential partners for the “collaborative compounding” idea. Have you found others having to carefully walk that line?

Thank you Brendon, I have listened to your first three videos now and I had and am now already using some of your recommendations in improving my website : http://www.francinegravel.com with the help of a web designer. The List you recommend as been something I have been a bit afraid of imposing on my friends in sending them my particular taste. I have a list of many people and many that believe in me but I feel still uneasy to send them promotions even when I believe in them strongly until I have proven them to work well in any situation. I respect people privacy very much and my friends also. How can I give them the impression of not being pushy sending them advertizing. I will have to learn more to feel comfortable about all this. I have applied many of the old tactics to promote my work in the past. I can say one thing that I have experience in my case is that people de not respond as well with an invitation sent via e-mail for a Fine Art Shows than with a beautiful card with several images of the work presented in the show. I know that most clients collect those cards it become like a bonus for some; I am often ask to sign them for their collection. The two shows without a proper cards did not attract the same clients as well as in the past. The galleries provided e-mail but not everyone is on the internet ??? you have to realize that in my field and announcement on the net are often trash or unread for days until the event is past. The clients that I did not have on my e-mail felt left out. I have to think about this. Also I do not have the list of all the clients because this secret was very well guarded by galleries in the past and at time they have discard some good clients by not following the rules you gave in your videos. I am working at a new show at the moment so I have to concentrate as many hours at the creative side of my work as I can. I will add some artist statements to my website and a couple of
video that were created one by CBC television in French by Joyce Janvier and the other by CHBC television with Mike Roberts in English. Both were done in 2004 when my book of Poems and paintings was in the gestation period. I had
a one woman show at the Harrison Galleries in Vancouver B.C. when the first
television interview was made. The TV crew went to the gallery and then to my
home and studio to make their jewell. I will tell my story like you suggest I think it may help artists and creators to not give up their dreams. I have had my website on since the early 80 it has been visited by many people around the world. I have used it as a display. Now I am ready to use it further so it can work for me as a source of income as well. So I will have to implement your very good and well construct strategy and see how I can use it in my field to improve my result. Thank you again, Francine

I am writing a business success course that I have put together by synthesizing information (much as you suggest). I have not created huge success from it yet (it is still in development), so how do I tell my story when my success has not happened yet? I am certain that it will but that isn’t very compelling. Do I skip that part?

Great stuff Brendon!! I definitely plan on getting your courses down the road, once I implement a few of your ideas to make enough to cover the course. Shouldn’t be a problem. Your ideas are great!!!

One basic question. What equipment are you using for your video? Looks like you have a white screen in the back and you turned up one of the settings on your camera to make it appear you are in a white box.

Do you have 2 cameras so you get that closeup effect?

Also, what kind of software are you using to edit the text into your video?

I apologize that it seems so basic a question. You have great passion, energy and camera presence. So obviously that would be something I would need to emulate.

    Keep up the great work!!

Brendon- First of all I have been inspired by what you have accomplished over the last 2 years.

Regarding your ebook letter: You tell them the value of their new priority and then you say “but” and then you tell them what they need. The word “but negates everything stated before that. That means you are negating their new position. Simply substitute the word “however”. Also 2 sentences would be better as well.

I can appreciate you observation and i would recommend that the word AND be used instead of HOWEVER as HOWEVER also negates or devalues what is preceeding it while AND honors what is there and adds value to the situation.

I was curious about your anti-member membership site. Where do you put these links, are they randomly generated or did you have them sequenced. In other words, once someone signs on for one or two months, would they be able to guess what next months link is going to be? If not, how do you maintain where everything goes and what month is what link? If you do something like 2009/10/ they won’t have much incentive to stay since they know what is next. If you do something random or unique, without any script I can see this being a headache to maintain.
